Changing, copying, cancelling or deleting an invoice

Where: iPhone and iPad app and Website

Made a mistake? You can change an invoice, copy it, cancel it, or delete it if it was never sent.

On the iPhone app

  1. Open the invoice.
  2. To fix it, use Is something wrong with it? then Change this invoice.
  3. To start a new one from it, use Copy this invoice, or Copy as Quote.
  4. To cancel it, use Cancel this invoice. Changed your mind? Use Put this invoice back.
  5. A draft that was never sent can be removed with Delete this draft, then Yes, delete it for good.

On the website

  1. Open the invoice.
  2. Use Copy Invoice, Copy as Quote, Cancel Invoice or Delete.
  3. To undo a cancel, use Put Invoice Back.

Good to know

  • A sent invoice is cancelled, not deleted. That keeps your numbers in order, which the tax rules expect.
