Closing your account

Where: iPhone and iPad app and Website

You can close your account yourself at any time. You then have 30 days to change your mind before it is deleted.

On the iPhone app

  1. Go to Account.
  2. Use Close My Account.
  3. Use Email me a code to close my account and type the code.
  4. Use Confirm - close my account.
  5. Changed your mind within 30 days? Sign in and use Reopen my account.

On the website

  1. Use Account, then Security & Login.
  2. Use Close my account.
  3. Use Email me a code to close my account, type the code, then Confirm - close my account.

Good to know

  • Save a copy of your records first if you want to keep them.
  • If you pay through Apple, closing your account does not cancel that subscription. Cancel it in your Apple Account settings too.
  • Some financial records are kept for as long as UK tax law requires.
  • Only the account owner can close it, not a helper.
